Wood Procurement

Our production plant in Okeechobee receives whole log-form timber, shredded wood fiber, and land clearing bi-products for use in the production of our mulches. We also acquire wood through large scale contract site grinding. Our mulches are made only from natural forest products.

Grinding

Earthwise grinds the timber received and prepares the shredded material for coloring and bagging. Our machines are equipped with screens that ensure a 2 inch +/- size on our products.

Coloring

Shredded pine and light color hardwoods are colored to produce our Colorwise Black, Gold and Red mulches. The colorant is non-hazardous and lasts for 9 to 12 months. Ask us about producing a signature color for your garden center!

Bagging

All mulches, rocks, and soils are bagged on site at Earthwise. Bags are heat sealed, stacked on pallets and shrink wrapped. Earthwise offers our bagging service to the industry.
